Cyprus, the island of Aphrodite

I've been living in Cyprus for over 12 years now. Which means, I was not born here - you can find out where I was born if you go back through older intels of mine :) From the first time I came to this country - on a business trip to train some colleagues a piece of software - I was enthralled by it. In summer you have over 40C, starting from end of May until end of September. And even spring is very pleasant - some might say, very warm. Winter is something I don't really like here, because there is no snow (unless you go up the Troodos mountains), and it's raining instead - but luckily we only have for the least amount of time here. If you come here for a visit, you will find a great deal of history sprinkled throughout the island. You can go to the ancient Mosaics, or see the Baths of Aphrodite, or even the Stone of Aphrodite (where she apparently was born from the waves of the sea), then you can go to the mountains to eat some nice souvla, or souvlaki, or even the typically Cypriot kleftiko (this is goat or lamb cooked in earth oven for a long period of time, sometimes up to 8 hours, with potatoes as well - yiummie. Or you can eat the again so typical halloumi, the real Cypriot cheese made of goat milk. And of course, not to forget in summer, the gorgeous Cyprus beaches in Larnaka, Governor's Beach next to Limassol, or the very 'commercial' but oh so loved areas of Agia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni.
